Meander and Koch Hybrid Fractal Curve Based Dual Hexagonal Radiating Patch Antenna for Quad Band Wireless Applications

A unique dual hexagonal-shaped radiating patch design with hybrid fractal curves (Meander and Koch) is presented for quad-band wireless applications. Initially, the antenna from 0th to 2nd iteration of PGP (Partial Ground Plane) designed investigated. Further, get better results in respect Bandwidth (BW) coefficient reflection these are superimposed on limited ground plane 1st generated antennas designated as Antenna–1 Antenna–2. comparison between both has been made it observed that Antenna–2 shows improved BW reflection. The proposed exhibits four resonant frequency bands 1.6, 4.8, 6.9, 8.8 GHz corresponding impedance 2.09, 1.36, 0.86, 1.51 GHz. simulated FR4 glass epoxy substrate an overall size 20 × 40 1.6 mm3. fabricated tested experimentally authentication experimental compatible each other. other performance indicators like radiation pattern, peak realized gain, efficiency also determined Hybrid Fractal Antenna (HFA) all found satisfactory. Due operational parameters, HFA can be considered a suitable applicant distinct applications anticipated ranges.
